Karen Grove was born on the family farm near Rocky Mountain House in an unplanned home birth. After leaving that farm, the family lived in or near various small towns in Alberta. Karen came to Edmonton to study at the University of Alberta in Edmonton and has lived here ever since. Karen had a long career in public libraries and raised two sons. In retirement, she is delighting in her grandchildren and has the time to pursue her twin passions of reading and writing.
